In my previous post I made a remark about a “Joel Osteen fan club”. I was just kidding about such a thing, but then got wondering if there were such a thing. Well, a Goodsearch of “Joel Osteen fan club” did not turn up such a thing.
Then I read about this site while reading A Little Leaven. While not exactly a fan club, it’s pretty close.
Yikes. And the way the guy quotes “Chapter 9″ of Joel’s book like it were from the bible… yikes squared.
Wonder if the folks at the church I preach at will wear lapel pins that say “IWRW”? Doubt it.

IWBS.
I’m a little freaked out.
Brandon,
Freaked out at the IWJO, the guy quoting from his book like scripture, or the idea of seeing people with IWRW pins? Or all?
I think a lot folks would wear the IWRW pins, but they’d be thinking of another RW. Maybe they’d even be driven to wear the IWRW pins with purpose for 40 days in community while they celebrate recovery of course!
IWDW. Hmmm. Sadly, many just watch me wander around the pulpit to see if I’ll trip over the mic cord or something…and they don’t listen. How about a new pin “IFJ” (I Follow Jesus).
Dude you must love him. You have a dislike for him so deep it must be love.
jealousy…weak, sad, sin sick jealousy…

Wordseldomsaid,
See my next post for my response to your comment. Or, to sum it up, what a lame, lame argument meant only to stifle conversation. I’ve not even critiqued Joel and his prosperity message and don’t appreciate your condemnation. If you can’t defend Joel’s message with more than the “jealousy card” then you really don’t have much of an argument.
Jealous, angry, sick…
Oh, wait…wrong post.
Um…I’m freaked out by IWJO, IWRW, and IRBS. The whole thing is just…freaky.
